Pacific Mini Games
In December this huge (not mini!) multi-sport event will be held in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Sensei Alison Peachey 5th Dan (Oceania kumite referee and kata judge) will be part of the neutral refereeing team from Australia and New Zealand.

U21, Junior and Cadet World Championships
In October Sensei Tony Hails 7th Dan (in his capacity as Mentor Coach) will be accompanying Karate Fiji to this prestigious biannual WKF event. 91 countries will be participating. We’ll be eagerly watching their progress! And you can too WKF link

Congratulations Sensei Stuart
In August Sensei Stuart Kaighin was graded to 6th Dan, a tremendous achievement. There are very few Ishinryu students at such a high level, Sensei Stuart has certainly joined a very select and elite group. We are very proud that he is one of our senior instructors.

Oceania 2016
In September 2016 Sensei Tony joined the Karate Fiji team in his role as mentor coach. The biannual championships was held in Noumea, New Caledonia. A great tournament from a small, but elite, team. GOLD in the men’s -75kg kumite, and silver in the cadet girls kata big highlights.

Finalists again!!
We were very humbled to have again been nominated by you as the Fitness Services business of the year for the Sutherland Shire. Three times in four years, we’re thrilled with that. Whilst we didn’t win, we were in great company and were the only martial artists. Ishin!!
