Each term’s karate grading is a chance for students to show their progress in front of our experienced panel.
The term 1 grading clearly reflected the effort and commitment our students put in to learning their new techniques.
Plenty of happy, relieved — and a few exhausted — faces!
What added gravity to this particular grading was the inclusion of students attempting 3rd Dan and 1st Dan black belts. It also included those grading to 1st Kyu brown/black belt and 2nd Kyu brown belt. As is Ishinryu protocol, the doors closed when the grading got tough for these students. We are very happy and proud to announce we have a new Sensei and three new Sempai.
