March 2019 saw four very special Dan gradings, presented by Ishinryu’s founder and world chief instructor Sensei Ticky Donovan OBE 9th Dan.
8th Dan – Sensei Tony Hails (Australia, founder and chief instructor)
7th Dan – Sensei Phil Laing (New Zealand, founder and chief instructor)
6th Dan – Sensei Alison Peachey (Australia)
5th Dan – Sensei Leighton Wren (Australia)
Along with Sensei Bruce Hyland 7th Dan and Sensei Stuart Kaighin 6th Dan in Victoria, the South Pacific houses the highest graded Ishinryu instructors in the world.
