Ishinryu Karate Australia is proud to announce that Sensei Michael Radermacher has been upgraded to National Kumite Referee A. This is the highest level of national refereeing accreditation in Australia. He now holds top-level status in both kumite and kata, having already achieved the rank of National Kata Judge A.
This upgrade is the result of a rigorous examination process conducted by the National Referees Commission (NRC), a panel comprised of World Karate Federation (WKF) referees (including our Sensei Alison Peachey). It involves detailed study of WKF rules, a written theory exam, and assessment during tournament officiating.
Alongside his refereeing, Sensei Michael continues to compete at a high level – entering both kata and kumite in the 55+ division at the Australian Open each year. Balancing these dual roles is a testament to his dedication, discipline, and deep commitment to the sport.
We congratulate Sensei Michael on this significant achievement. We thank him for the ongoing leadership and expertise he brings to our dojo.
