On 1 April 2025, Sensei Carsten Schmitz-Peiffer successfully completed his grading to 3rd Dan. This is a remarkable milestone. It reflects years of dedication, continuous learning, and leadership within our dojo.
The journey to 3rd Dan is both rigorous and deeply rewarding. Following his 2nd Dan, Sensei Carsten began preparation for 3rd Dan. He attained his Bronze Dojo Instructor Accreditation through Karate Australia and stepped up as a regular instructor at the dojo. He also committed to refining his own karate by competing regularly in NSW and national events. Most recently Sensei Carsten won gold in the 55+ kumite at the 2025 NSW Championships.
To deepen his knowledge, Sensei Carsten undertook specialised training with Sensei Alison Peachey 7th Dan. This training lasted six months, training alongside the instructors preparing for 4th Dan. He benefited enormously from this intensive period of study and mentorship.
We are incredibly proud of Sensei Carsten—his example, skill, and unwavering commitment continue to inspire all who train with him.
