Meet Sensei Michael Radermacher 3rd Dan

Senior Black Belt Instructor at Ishinryu Karate

Sensei Michael Radermacher 3rd Dan’s Ishinryu story began in 1986, when he first commenced karate training with Ishinryu. Since then, his experience has grown, having graded to 1st Dan black belt in 1990, and then further advancing to 3rd Dan in 2020.

Sensei Michael’s passion for martial arts has taken him across different styles, having trained with Shotokan when Ishinryu wasn’t available during his travels intra and interstate for work. 

He continues to compete in local and international events, showcasing his skills in both kata and kumite, medalling  at the Australian and New Zealand opens in 2023. In 2024 he is the Australian Open 55+ kumite gold medalist 🥇.

In addition to his impressive accomplishments as a competitor, Sensei Michael is also an accredited National kumite judge and kata judge, and a State referee. 

His expertise and dedication to teaching the art of karate have seen him become accredited as a silver (level 2) dojo instructor by Sport Australia/AIS, and a senior black belt instructor at Ishinryu Karate’s Menai dojo in the Sutherland Shire.
